1 NEW AND RETURNING STUDENT FEES 2011-2012
a Nursery School (2 yr. old & 3 yr. old programs)
i The registration fee is $80.00. (new applicants only)
ii Upon confirmation of acceptance, Fern Hill School will hold the student's space for ten (10) working days pending receipt of the fee cheques. Fern Hill School requires a non-refundable deposit in the amount equivalent to one month's fees (10 %) which will be applied to the month of June 2012, plus nine post-dated cheques for the same amount, for the months of September 2011 through to and including May 2012. The school requires one months written notice, dated the first of the month, prior to the withdrawal of a child from the Nursery School. There will be no refund of tuition after April 1, 2012.

3 SIBLING DISCOUNT
 

There is a 5% reduction in tuition for the second child and a 10% reduction in tuition for the third child when two or more children register from the same family.
4 ADDITIONAL FEES
 

School uniforms, after school activities, instrument purchases or rentals, pizza days, etc... are not included in the tuition fee, but will be invoiced at the end of each month. Parents are responsible for purchasing the school uniform that is available through our uniform supplier Top Marks.
5 CHILD CARE FEES
 

Fern Hill School offers child care before school (starting at 8:00 a.m.) and after school (until 5:30 p.m.) for students in the nursery school, kindergarten and grade school. Lunch programs and ad hoc days in the Nursery School are also available.
a Students must be registered for child care. Payment is due by the 1st of each month. Parents of non-registered students will be billed on an ad hoc basis.
b Families planning to use the ad hoc service should confirm with the office a minimum of 24 hours in advance. Limited spaces are available for ad hoc use.

A parent is considered late anytime after 5:30 p.m. and will be charged $3 for the first 5 minutes and $1 per minute thereafter. A more serious penalty may apply for those parents who are consistently late.

6 RESPONSIBILITY FOR FULL PAYMENT OF FEES
  Fern Hill School accepts students for the entire academic year. Program development and staffing are determined prior to the start of each academic year. Parents of students in JK, SK and Grade School programs are therefore responsible for full payment of tuition fees once the enrollment agreement has been signed and returned. There are no tuition refunds.
   
7 RETURNED CHEQUES
  An administrative fee of $45.00 will be applied to any returned cheques.
