At Fern Hill School, we are fortunate to have a vibrant parent community that plays a meaningful role in enriching our students’ learning. When parents share their experiences and knowledge, students gain a deeper understanding of the world and make meaningful connections beyond the classroom.

As part of the Grade 2 Global Communities curriculum, we invite parents into our classrooms to talk about their countries of origin or connection. These visits help students learn about different cultures and recognize similarities and differences with Canada. The children especially enjoy tasting food samples and engaging in conversations that bring each culture to life.
