At Fern Hill, we value the fine arts and the important role they play in a child’s development. Our talented art teacher encourages every child to explore their creativity, develop new skills, and grow in confidence.
Every class has a scheduled art class each week, giving students regular opportunities to create, experiment, and express themselves through art.
Our students are currently creating mixed-media self-portraits, exploring different materials and artistic techniques to represent themselves. We especially loved watching them take part in a gallery walk at the end of their class. They proudly shared their work and took the time to notice, appreciate, and comment on the artwork of their classmates. It was wonderful to see them celebrating each other’s creativity!
